It's featured in McCall's
Quilting (May 2009 edition).
Mark Lipinski, on the
right (ok, yes, that is a cut-out of him!) designed this great Lone
Star with his Krakow fabric line by Northcott. In the magazine, it is
called "Prairie Star", but make no mistake, it is definitely the
Quiltsmart 58" Lone Star. My friend, Mark, is a fan of
Quiltsmart, and I am a fan of Mark and his magazine, Mark Lipinski's
Quilter's Home (sister magazine to McCall's Quilting). Thanks,
Mark and McCall's! Quilt sewn by Lissa Ross, and quilted by
Janice Jamison - beautiful! |

Quilter's Home with 'Prairie Star', a Quiltsmart 58" Lone
Star! The Quiltsmart 58" Lone Star Classic Pack is shown
here, to the left. 'Top Speed' (tm) is about 6 - 8
hours!
Wow...yes, you can make it!

Quiltsmart
Lone Stars are fun...and there are several
others to choose from...
|
Bitty Broken
Star (left)- 19 inch center star, the whole quilt is about 54" and
sweet as can be!
38" Lone Star (middle)- Easy, easy and
fast, fast...can't beat that - just 4 - 5 hours for the 'Top Speed'
(tm).
58" Lone Star (above...the one featured
in the magazine) - 6 - 8 'Top Speed' (tm) hours....you've gotta do
it! Add borders and it becomes a queen!
Broken Lone Star (right)- fit for a
Queen! The equivalent of 4 of our 38" stars, this beauty is what
I have on my bed!

Kitchen
Towel Fun...
Use kitchen towels to
make our cell phone bags and smart bags! You can find so many fun
prints. Just look at the cute pleat on the smart bag - it was
from a pleated towel!.
Tips from Mary J (our
in-house quilter):
1) You
might need to open up the hems on some towels for the smart bag.
2) For the cell bag, cut in half and sew lengths together.
3) You might need to cut and piece a bit if trying to use a particular
section of the towel.
